Job Description Job Description Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) – Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Location: New York, NY Assignment Length: 14 Weeks Shift: Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $51–$61 per hour (based on experience) Assignment Type: Contract Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to support an Adult Inpatient Psychiatry program in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a compassionate and clinically skilled social worker with experience serving adults with mental health conditions. The LMSW will play a key role in patient advocacy, care coordination, and discharge planning while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical social work services to adult inpatients with psychiatric and mental health conditions Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care and discharge plans Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and patient/family support as needed Advocate for patients’ psychosocial needs and connect them with appropriate community resources Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional ethical standards Qualifications Required: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license (NYSED) Minimum 1 year of professional LMSW experience Preferred: Experience in hospital or acute care settings Experience with adult inpatient psychiatry or behavioral health Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment For more details contact at pmohanty@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-806-4227 .
