remote focused work daysOverview: We are seeking a courageous
individual who, for one of our 3 Business Units, can lead the
integration of brand, category and channel strategies into a clear
Beiersdorf trade strategy. Execution through steering of the 4P
mix, being the cross functional voice of sales and managing
commercial reporting/insights in order to achieve budgeted sales,
profit and share objectives will be crucial elements of the Senior
Manager, Sales Strategy role. This individual will achieve this
objective by leading and managing (up to) two direct report(s);
Revenue Growth Management Manager(s). The 4 Strategic Pillars of
the Sales Strategy department are:
- Annual Planning
- Sales Execution Monitoring & Action Planning
- Internal Lead Voice of Sales
- Oversight all things Revenue Growth Management (RGM)
Responsibilities:
- Annual Planning: Lead development of trade strategy on where to
play and how to win
- Lead Channel Strategy by business unit & category with head of
sales
- Lead development of the Trade Strategy, including growth,
investment & share targets
- Lead Annual Commercial Strategy (MAPPS) development; monitor
adherence
- Minimize activity clash across retailers & ensure alignment to
major brand initiatives
- Key stakeholder in New Item Go-to-Market
- Sales Execution Monitoring and Action Planning: Lead Channel
Strategy by business unit & category with head of sales
- Identify gaps to plan through co-creation & interpretation of
sales analysis
- Monitor adherence to MAPPS to ensure proper execution against
4Ps and steer course correction with sales where required
- Monitor Market Share performance and provide on-going
predictive perspective on Full Year MS expectation.
- Sun specific - minimize returns through tight inventory
management via OPTIMA
- Internal Lead Voice of Sales: Serve as voice of
sales/customers, champion of customer requirements
- Lead /coordinate communication and asks into and, where
aggregated information is required, out of sales
- Deliver retail/channel expertise internally; provide holistic
understanding (of activity & actions) across trade
- First point of call for trade/channel thinking
- Represent customer/sales internally in crisis management;
steer/coordinate response
- Sun specific - lead voice of Sales in inventory management and
planning, reducing return risk
- Oversight all things RGM: Oversight of RGM insights on
price-pack architecture and promotions
- Trade Promotion Management
- Pricing
- Pack Architecture Requirements:
- BS/BA required
- 5+ years of Trade Marketing, Sales Strategy, or similar
discipline experience
- 3+ years of experience in Field Sales or similar discipline,
selling to at least two channels
- Revenue Growth Management experience preferred
- Proven experience in managing and building teams, develop
strong relationships across functions and ability to influence key
decision makers
- Proven ability to think strategically leveraging data sources
like Nielsen and increase effectiveness at achieving overall
strategies in a highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to manage projects with deadlines to meet both customer
needs and internal timeline requirements.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills to influence
and secure cross-functional support; at all levels in the
organization.
- Must have excellent analytical skills and business acumen to
build strong business cases for change.
- Must be technology savvy and have strong office productivity
software skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, SAP) to use promotion
databases, financial reporting and promotional analysis. ADDITIONAL
