Melville, NY is currently seeking a Business Planning & Strategy
Specialist (Specialist, Bus Plan & Strat). The Business Planning &
Strategy Specialist is responsible for developing and analyzing
actionable plans for Canon's business product/service portfolio
growth and market introductions. These plans will drive increased
revenue and market share, helping dealers and customers
differentiate our portfolio and its benefits from competitors. A
developing professional, working towards full proficiency in the
job role. Receives general instruction from manager on expected
work outcomes and exercises good judgment in day-to-day matters.
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule
requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and
an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a
specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on
other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting
requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
Your Impact Develops and analyzes plans for Canon's product/service
portfolio growth and market introductions, aiming to boost revenue
and market share Creating business plans, researching consumer
needs through surveys, and maintaining communication with dealers
and sales staff Monitor competitive activity and recommend
promotions to enhance service usage and sales Collaboration with
cross-functional teams is essential for implementing these
strategies and aligning with overall business objectives Key
responsibilities may include: Market Research and Analysis: Conduct
in-depth market research to identify trends, growth opportunities
and areas for improvement Strategic Planning: Create comprehensive
business plans outlining short-term and long-term goals and key
initiatives Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely
with sales, service, planning, and marketing to gather data, align
strategies, and ensure plan execution Performance Monitoring and
Evaluation: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess plan
effectiveness and make necessary adjustments Presentation
Development: Prepare presentations to communicate strategic plans
and key insights to management and stakeholders Industry Trend
Analysis: Stay updated on industry developments and the competitive
landscape to inform strategic decision-making About You: The Skills
& Expertise You Bring Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or
equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related
experience Product management within technology experience is
required Must be detail-oriented and deliver on-time performance to
meet key objectives Must have at least a moderate level of
technical knowledge with an aptitude to understand and communicate
technical aspects of our products Must be able to clearly
articulate product strategies and value propositions to internal
sales, dealers, and customers Strong project management skills
Experience with Google Workspace is a plus Travel required up to
20% annually nationwide We are providing the anticipated salary
range for this role: $69,300 - $103,770 annually Company Overview
