Learn more at and explore our Overview:CARR, a Xerox company, is seeking a motivated Shop Technician to join our team based in Commack, NY. The Shop Technician is responsible for set-up and refurbishment of a variety of printers and copiers, including Xerox and other brands. This is a full-time opportunity in a shop / warehouse setting.
What You'll Do:

• Assemble and refurbish various Xerox models and brands of copiers and printers to prepare for our customers
• Customize and install software, applications and other customer requested programs
• Troubleshoot, breakdown and diagnose equipment in need of repair, including software and hardware updates
• Test equipment for performance and copy quality
• Ensure that all correspondence materials are included in packaging and descriptions / serial numbers assigned to equipment match with sales order request
• Update the operations team on the status of each work order
• Assist with warehouse operations such as unboxing and distributing materials while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  What You Need to Succeed:
  • Displays a willingness to be trained on digital office equipment
  • Prior hands-on experience with troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical equipment repairs
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to lift, push and pull objects weighing up to 50lbs., as well as walk and remain standing for long periods of time
  • Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Familiarity with networking and internet connectivity preferred
  • Previous experience with software and hardware updates preferred
  • Experience in the office equipment industry preferred
