Job Description Vision Financial Markets LLC, a clearing and custody broker-dealer located in Stamford CT, is seeking a Business Data Analyst. The Business Data Analyst will facilitate assigned projects by serving as a liaison between users and developers, setting and communicating goals, and evaluating and refining results. Why Vision? Vision Financial Markets LLC (Vision) is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a self-clearing securities broker-dealer, which provides clearing and settlement, execution services and custody. Vision is a clearing participant of the Depository Trust company and the Options Clearing Corporation. Vision provides full clearing and order-entry technology and support.

  • Collaborates with staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology.
  • Determines how changes to the project will affect the business and systems and provides recommendations regarding evolution of the systems.
  • Responds to inquiries and provides advice to the staff regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.
  • Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
  • Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
  • Develops and communicates detailed specifications for implementation.
  • Produces reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, staff, and other relevant parties.
  • Maintains and ensures proper documentation and coordinates or performs testing of system modifications.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to ensure the needs of the project have been met.
  • Researches and analyzes the nature, effect, and results of system difficulties.
  • Satisfies data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests from existing client databases.
  • Acts as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems.
  • Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks. Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.
    • Extremely proficient with database management system software and database user interface software. (SQL)
    • Knowledge of database development languages and tools.
    • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
    • Ability to adapt to change.
    • Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
    • Ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully.
    • Ability to act as a team player. Education and Experience:
