Collaborate with experts across Gartner to support business activities that support a "One Gartner" approach.* Lead and grow team of Practice experts to create distinctive Consulting services in close partnership with Research, to collaborate with Industries to craft repeatable solutions that address client MCP's, and to scale delivery across Regions to ensure high quality, impactful client results.Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesBusiness Building* Collaborate across Industry and Practices to drive revenue through sales, bookings, delivery* Work with ILs to participate in key client/account interactions* Work with MPs to pursue and close sales opportunities by functioning as the senior-most practice representative or as a deep SME* Work with RLs and PD to define staffing and resolve staffing conflicts and resource contention* Work with ILs and RLs to determine and ensure appropriate PSL coverageThought Leadership* Work with PLs, ILs and KI Leads to identify solution and IP gaps and determine their prioritization* Work with PLs, ILs and KI Leads to manage the development of Practice services and cross-practice solutions* Work with ILs, PLs and KI Leads to develop complex industry-first/client-first solutions* Collaborate with senior R&A leaders to envision the future, set the agenda and deliver new research* Establish "feedback loops" between R&A agenda managers and Consulting KI Leads to enable open and collaborative information sharingClient Leadership* Work with ILs, RLs and PLs to design relevant and meaningful solutions for key client/accounts* Work with PLs, MPs, and EMs to ensure the delivery excellence for all projects within the Practice* Providing deep SME in Applications optimization services* Work with MP's for key client/accounts to cement client relationships, identify and generate new opportunities, and secure extensions and expansions* Collaborate with PLs to ensure the successful completion of Practice priorities* Work with other BU leaders to ensure leadership, initiative, and content alignmentPeople Leadership* Work with ILs, RLs, and PLs to identify capacity and skills gaps and prioritize hiring opportunities with GLs* Work with ILs, RLs, PLs, Recruiting, and PD to build and maintain a talent pipeline through hiring, cultivating, upskilling, and training* Onboard new associates, and coach and mentor senior existing associates* Lead and mentor KI Leads to create Services that are repeatable, scalable and differentiated* Lead and mentor PSL's to sell and deliver Services with high quality, impactful client results* Manage the operations of the practice roles, SME's and communityExpected Results* Increase Geo-specific pipeline and bookings by create new and differentiated offerings that deliver a high level of client value which give Gartner Consulting a competitive advantage in the marketplace.* Maintain Geo-specific Practice associate utilization by scaling an expert team that is able to staff booked projects and provide expert knowledge and advice to clients.* Build sustainable relationships with Consulting, R&A and other BU leaders to improve internal and external presenceTechnical/Professional skills & Competencies* MBA or advanced degree preferred* 10+ years of experience in Consulting; 7+ years in a practice leadership role* Professional services leadership experience.* Experience leading and innovating within a labor-based professional services organization or practice within a consulting firm.* Track record of execution and measurable results.* A track-record of implementing and leading a successful, product innovation strategy while also delivering on short-term financial goals and longer-term operational improvements in a people-intensive business.* Experience operating in a matrixed organization especially when it comes to decision-making and practice resource management.* Global experience, including experience leading product innovation and senior leaders outside of the U.S. and with global teams.* Strong technology acumen.* Fluency in technology-related topics.* Reputation for building world-class teams, attracting and developing highly successful and motivated leaders in prior leadership roles.* A powerful intellect and independent, but highly collaborative, nature to fit into the culture of Gartner's high-performance culture.* A natural interest in information services and technology.* A product innovator who has a creative edge and continues to refine and innovate solutions.* Has analytical skills to secure and compare information from multiple sources to identify business issues;
