drives profitability by identifying and capitalizing on pricing
opportunities. The Pricing Planner will develop the retail pricing
process, calendar and strategy. This pricing leader will use data
and analytics to define the pricing strategy globally and help
shape tactical promotional execution through both traditional and
innovative pricing approaches. This role will report into the Vice
President of Planning, Pricing & Allocations. RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates, oversees, and monitors pricing tools, models, databases,
and other components of relevant pricing processes to inform
innovative strategic pricing concepts and strategic pricing
decisions. Drive process improvements and innovation; apply and
maintain best practices for insights, policies, concepts, and
tools. Drive results in a matrixed organization through influence
and collaboration. Engage with merchant, buying, planning and
finance teams to build and develop internal insights and analysis
capabilities to assess performance. Identify market and product
opportunities and downsides in the context of pricing, sales
growth, and profitability. Provide well-reasoned pricing change
recommendations to leaders across the retail organization. Lead
pricing planning and forecasting activities, including price
increases and SKU rationalization. Work with product management and
other business systems teams to implement pricing changes. Monitors
the competitive landscape in terms of pricing and promotions.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research related to
competitive landscape and industry benchmarking as needed. Share
insights and recommendations with product leadership to help inform
strategic planning and product decision-making. Support internal
requests for pricing analysis and guidance. Maintain history of
item-level price changes and a summary of monthly changes. Report
on sales and margin results of pricing changes and impact to the
department and company. Analyze results of past promotions and
identify key levers to drive average order value. Identify ideal
product mix of entry, mid, high price point to support the consumer
preferences by location. Performs additional responsibilities as
requested to achieve business objectives. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's
Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-7 years
business experience with planning, pricing, analytical and
reporting experience, or equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience. The candidate must have particular
strength with financial modeling, pricing and commercial
diagnostics, and sales & operations. Extensive prior experience in
planning or pricing, with relevant experience in developing tools,
models, databases, systems and other components of relevant pricing
processes. Proven track record of advanced problem-solving skills
with the ability to identify, define, and resolve problems,
complete projects in a timely manner, and create programs.
Analytical skills necessary to analyze problems, draw insights /
derive implications from analyses, and generate new ideas and
solutions. Ability to translate data, into meaningful descriptive
graphs and visuals, as well analyze the data and communicate to key
stakeholders whereby actionable steps can be recommended.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across all
levels of an organization. Ability to work with cross-functional
