The Senior ProcurementSpecialist will be responsible for competitve bidding, contract management, sourcing suppliers, supplier management, support the purchase activitiesfor other Canon companies, report for monthly cost saving activities and specialist projects.This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. Responsibilities- Determines specifications for bid solicitation based on meetings with Internal Customers- Negotiates cost, delivery and service terms with suppliers and continuously reviews the market place for new and evolving goods and services, vendors, price trends, delivery trends and buying practices- Monitors supplier performance on an ongoing basis to ensure their reliability, capability, and delivery of goods and services- Gains buy-in from in-house customers for use of approved suppliers- Ensures the placement of orders with Company approved suppliers and that each order is received, processed and shipped in accordance with the agreed upon terms and conditions- Evaluate historical and forecast data on areas of spend to help formulate a category plan- Support the business in the production of RFP's: develop selection and award criteria to evaluate bidder response; issue RFPs to identified bidders; manage responses while mitigating risk and ensuring compliance throughout the process- Review selection and award criteria which will be used with suppliers to evaluate bidder response- Measure the success of outcomes achieved through the implementation of category plans- Advise on supply chain options, risks, costs vs. benefits, and impacts on products/services/ business processes- Possesses specialized knowledge or skills in a particular functional area- A fully qualified, seasoned professional with a full understanding of the job role who works on more complicated issues facing the department- Receives general instruction from manager on new assignments but little to no direction in day-to-day work Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience- Supplier negotiations experience required- Knowledge of Oracle a plus- Knowledge of MS Office- Professional Certification A plusThe company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
