Reports to: Manager of Revenue Cycle

Location: Stamford, CT

Full Time - Monday -Friday 8:00pm -5:00 pm

Role and responsibilities:

  • Proficient in Orthopedic surgeries, CPT, ICD 10 codes.
  • Coding and editing professional and ASC procedures accordance to CCI edits, and payor policy guidelines
  • Enter charges for professional and ASC surgical procedures - surgeries to be entered within 72 hours
  • Responsible to send out appeals for surgical procedures
  • Contact physicians as needed to clarify documentation for CPT and ICD 10 codes being billed
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Addressing emails, faxes, written correspondence, projects, and internal practice management communication including but not limited to other duties when needed / required by the revenue cycle department
  • Proficient with obtaining LCD guidelines, modifiers, bundling/unbundling
  • Ensures all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) regulations are adhered to
  • Provides outstanding and enthusiastic customer service to patients, physicians, and staff


    Qualifications/Required experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in coding and billing for Orthopedic Surgeries, Neuro and Spine a plus
    • Comfortable working in a fast paced and evolving environment
    • Ability to multitask
    • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
