Currently, we are seeking Reinsurance Underwriting candidates with at least 3 years of Worker's Compensation insurance/Reinsurance experience. Exposure to Professional liability including medical malpractice is a plus. The successful candidate should be open to exposure to a variety of product lines over time.Essential Functions

• Maintains good relationships with brokers
• Documents underwriting files and decision rationale
• Ability to interpret and analyze pricing model output
• Offers coverage within the terms and conditions which will generate a profit for the Company while meeting the needs of the customer
• Identifies risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate controls
• Analyze claims and quantifies losses
• Analyzes financial statements and ratios used in risk analysis
• Quantifies risks based on experience history and forecasting methods
• Negotiates to achieve bottom line profitability for the CompanySkills, Knowledge & Ability
  • Strong analytical skills
  • At least 3 years of Worker's Compensation Insurance/Reinsurance experience. Professional liability including medical malpractice exposure is a plus.
  • Prefer exposure to Reinsurance concepts.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the company
  • Ability to manage both support staff and client relations
  • Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the company and department.
  • Ability to travel frequentlyEducation
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Knowledge of the Insurance or Reinsurance industry as it pertains to coverages, rate making process, risk exposures and contracts
