Patient Access Representative
St. Charles Hospital is a 243-bed, acute care community hospital located in Port Jefferson, NY. The non-profit hospital features three centers of excellence: Maternal/Child services, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. St. Charles also offers services in general surgery, colon/rectal surgery, bariatric surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, epilepsy, stroke care, Female Pelvic Floor Disorders Center, and a nationally accredited Sleep Disorders Center.

We are currently searching for Patient Access Representatives to join our team.
+ Qualified candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Must have a minimum of one year of experience in Revenue Cycle Management or Patient Access Services functions.
Required skills include:
+ Understanding of insurance, pre-certification requirements and medical terminology.
+ Strong computer skills.
+ Customer focus with strong interpersonal skills; problem-solving skills;
+ The ability to handle confidentiality appropriately; demonstrate professionalism
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to multi-task.
