Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine testing on raw material, finished good, and stability samples according to established in-house or compendial procedures.
  • Capable of independently operating laboratory instruments based on appropriate procedures. Prepares solutions, suspensions, and media to perform essential laboratory tasks.
  • Records data, performs calculations, evaluates and reports results. Performs peer review of data and provides critical analysis of laboratory systems. Keeps management apprised of progress.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory instruments.
  • Participates in designing and conducting investigational studies of atypical results
  • May either handle hazardous waste or supervise individuals who handle hazardous waste
  • Follow Good Laboratory Practices, Good Documentation Practices, and Data Integrity guidelines
  • Openness to learn new instruments methods and positionsExperience and Education Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related science field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
    • 1 - 2 years experience in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
    • Experience with HPLC or UPLC and testing WSV or FSV preferred.
    • Knowledge of USP compendial methods preferred.
