Our direct client in Stamford, CT, a global leader in their field, seeks an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. This positions offers the opportunity to work on transitioning to and operating in a global cloud environment (Azure) and working with a number of different related systems. Overall goal: Provide Stable, Secure and Efficient IT Operations for the Hybrid Cloud environment worldwide. We seek a mid-level systems engineer with 3+ years of IaaS Azure hands-on experience who has infrastructure engineering experience in either a hybrid or cloud native environment. You will be part of an Operations team that is responsible for managing and providing daily operations for our on-premise and Azure public cloud footprints.Experience Desired: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS cloud offerings in a system engineering capacity.Ability to review manual steps and automate with scripting.Implementation of solutions in Azure utilizing Microsoft native toolsets.Container support and orchestration within a public cloud.VM deployments utilizing Infrastructure as a code technology (Terraform)Integration and Support of DevSecOps pipelines in alignment with development and architecture for native cloud applications.Strength in Powershell, YAML, Ansible, Python and other scripting technologies to create operational framework efficiencies from automation.Understand and control the operational costs in a public cloud environment.Microsoft and Linux Operating System Support.Office 365 support and architecture knowledge in a hybrid environment.Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and Enterprise storageCustomization and development of cloud offering utilizing native tools.Experience working on projects and landscapes applying Agile methodologies.You will be joining a small international operations team during an exciting period of transformation. We are currently migrating our on-premises to a public cloud environment. We are looking for someone who can provide stable operational day to day support, creation of efficiencies to focus on forward thinking topics and adjust to the rapid adoption of changes and processes automation within Cloud Operations at the firm. The right candidate for this role must be able to Anticipate, Identify, Analyze and Solve operational incidents, liaise with the proper stakeholders to implement the necessary changes for permanent resolution. The role also requires support for the Cloud transformation Project, evolving the operations of the cloud platform and support for IT and business initiatives.
