The Medical Science Liaison Level II, US Field Medical (hereafter MSL-II) will be responsible for managing a defined territory for Nirogacestat. This entails establishing and maintaining key scientific relationships with KOLs within their territory and serving as a scientific resource to the medical community and facilitating the appropriate exchange of scientific information.
Key expectations include the MSL-II being able to develop and maintain a proficient scientific, medical, and product knowledge base, ability to communicate key insights learned, and disseminate critical scientific data to external stakeholders; including but not limited to academic/scientific/clinical experts, payers, and patient organizations.
The MSL-II will be responsible for ensuring timely and appropriate input and support for the field medical strategies in support of our clinical development and commercialization programs and activities. In addition, the MSL-II will assist in the support of the company's clinical trials in partnership with the clinical development team and with researchers as appropriate.

WI, MI, IL, IN, MN, IA, NE, KY & OH
Responsibilities Include:


  • Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and establish and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs across multi-specialty disciplines, connecting to KOLs in academic centers and community practices at the local, regional, and national level
  • Serve as a scientific resource to the medical community and facilitate the appropriate exchange of scientific information
  • Communicate experts' opinion and feedback on new data and clinical trendsto MedicalAffairs andtranslate this information into strategic recommendations to enhance science and advance patient care
  • Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator-initiated research
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Operations organization to enhance patient enrollment in company-sponsored clinical trials by identifying appropriate clinical trial sites, supporting clinical trial awareness,and interacting with investigators in ongoing studies
  • Provide scientific support at medical congressesand staff disease state booths and participate and provide clinical support at advisory boards and scientific/medical advisory faculty programs
  • Participate on committee/project teams which support MSL strategies as delegated by MSL leadership
  • Be familiar with US pharma rules and regulations, particularly as they apply to MSL activities
  • Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in academic, community, and healthcare provider settings
  • Develop and execute territory plans in alignment withlocal,regional,and national strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical decision makers atlocal,regional,and national institutions
  • Assist with strategy and generation of health economic and outcomes data and presentation of such data to payeraudiences
  • Serve as a Medical Affairs lead for disease state and outcomes-based product presentations to managed-carecustomers
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    About You: Required Education, Skills, and Experience

    • Education: AdvancedScientificdegreeorequivalentexperience required.(MD, PhD, PharmD, DNPstrongly preferred or Advanced Practice Degree, NP, PA, RPh, or MSN/RN with oncology experience)
    • Minimum of3years MSL experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
    • Rare disease experience preferred, particularly inOncology, but not critical
    • Demonstrated experience effectively presenting clinical/scientific information required
    • Proficiency with business software including but not limited Veeva CRM or a comparable customer relations management tool, to Adobe Professional, and the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
    • Ability to understand, review, and communicate complex technical concepts and technologies
    • Working knowledge of the OIG compliance guidance for pharmaceutical manufacturers
    • Leadership skills including experience working with cross-functional teams with positive impact outside own organization
    • Highly collaborative with outstanding relationship managementskills
    • Energetically embraces responsibilities and demonstrates ability to achieve goals
    • Ability to function in conditions of uncertainty
    • Strong decision-making abilities; especially under conditions of uncertainty
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritizeownwork schedule

    • MSLispreferred to live within the territory with whichtheyliaise.
    • Valid driver's licenserequiredand must be in good standing.
    • Office is home-based. Approximately 40-50% travel is required; overnight travel is required as needed.

      The expected salary range for this position is $147,800 - $195,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
