Summary: -Lockwood is an industry leading Medical Communications and Market Access Agency. We are seeking a Group Vice President, Payer Strategy to help build out our Market Access Division.As the GVP, Payer Strategy, you will bring your leadership and expertise in the managed care landscape to help our clients meet their market access objectives and ultimately improve patient access to healthcare. You will supply content recommendations that would be most impactful for market access stakeholders on behalf of pharmaceutical manufacturers, and provide overall coverage/access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy.Responsibilities: -Responsible for partnering with GVP, Scientific and Medical Strategy, Market Access, and GVP, Client Services, Market Access to help build and grow Lockwood's Market Access division.Lead strategic development of market access insights and communication strategy, based on evolving trends in the healthcare landscape to ensure optimal product coverage, access, and reimbursement.Build and lead a team of former access decision makers to partner with clients and ensure continued engagement with the payer and access stakeholder community.Education: -Advanced degree such as PharmD, RPh, MD or related is required.Professional Skills & Experience: -10 or more years of relevant professional experience that includes the development and implementation of market access strategies, thought leadership on evolving market access trends, and an ability to apply past experience to client challenges and propose compliant solutions.Must have experience in a payer environment, such as a health plan, PBM, or specialty pharmacy. Prior team leadership experience is required and an ability to work collaboratively across agency/team functions.Familiarity with formulary strategy development and oversight/management of Medicare and Medicaid pharmacy benefits is required.Market Access Marketing/Agency experience a plus.Experience in Oncology a plus. US and Global Access experience a bonus.
