We're looking for a full-time Retail Store Planner to join Team Mavis at our Operations Support Center in Millwood, New York. With over 700 retail locations, Mavis is the one of the largest independently-held tire sales and automotive repair chain in the United States. -About the Position of Assistant Store PlannerAs a member of the Store Planning Team within the Real Estate Department and reporting to the Head of Store Planning, the Store Planner will work alongside the Project Directors and Head of Store Planning in the design and administrative management for new stores, remodels and renovations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a design background willing to take ownership of and oversee projects to completion, and has a desire to grow their career and advance within the Company. -Requirements & Qualifications - - - - - - - - -Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project/Construction Management or related field - - - - - - - - -Two to three years' related professional experience - - - - - - - - -Strong ability to work in CAD software required - - - - - - - - -3-D modeling software and/or Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus - - - - - - - - -Understanding of construction project management, schedules, project budgeting and compliance monitoring - - - - - - - - -Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project - - - - - - - - -Ability to manage multiple tasks involving complex and varying problems - - - - - - - - -Strong verbal and written communication skills - - - - - - - - -Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - - - - - - - - - -Duties & Responsibilities - - - - - - - - -Create schematic site plans and store designs for new stores and remodels - - - - - - - - -Work collaboratively with internal management and 3rd party vendors to achieve best practices and standardization across the brands - - - - - - - - -Manage the company's corporate prototype designs through the 3rd party architect and engineer ensuring Mavis design standards are met with an overall focus on reducing construction costs - - - - - - - - -Create layouts and elevations in CAD for new store locations and current store remodels and renovations - - - - - - - - -Work with external partners including but not limited to General Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Fixture Contractors and other applicable vendors to bid projects and assess project costs - - - - - - - - -Support the Head of Store Planning and Project Directors with timelines, scheduling, budgeting, project documentation and project delivery - - - - - - - - -Generate reports and checklists as directed - - - - - - - - -Site visits for as-built measurements and field verification as required -Employee BenefitsAt Mavis, we understand that our people drive our success.
