In this role, you have the opportunity to 

Join the Philips Oral Healthcare marketing team responsible for defending #1 Market Share position and generating continued growth of the Philips Sonicare brand; the #1 Electric toothbrush in the US, and #1 recommended by Dentists.

The Consumer Marketing Manager is accountable for driving business results – growing brand preference, household penetration, market share and sales. This team member will also be responsible for integrating various transformational initiatives into the current business and implementing new business models such as subscription, direct to consumer sales and B2B2C partnerships.

You are responsible for 

Deliver on yearly business targets

  • Understand market performance trends to most effectively drive consumption, market share and shipments
  • Help to manage the full brand P&L
  • Manage long term outlook for the business and translate that vision across functions
  • Aid in the development of Yearly Business Market Combination Plan and 3 Year Strategic Plan of Record

Support the development of multi-year strategic plans for the Brand:

  • Analyze consumer research, customer research, channel trends, current market conditions and competitor information to unlock new insights that will drive competitive advantage
  • Team up with global Category and E2E teams to develop portfolio and new marketing platforms

Launch New Innovation:

  • Be an integral part of the biggest Business Market Combination team working with the Global Upstream colleagues to ensure that innovations are relevant to North American Consumers
  • Help craft the long term North American Innovation Roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing team to develop winning creative campaigns and assets

Develop Local Go To Market Strategy:

  • Facilitate cross-functional Brand and category reviews to identify issues and opportunities
  • Define Brand Top Jobs To Be Done & Marketing Objectives
  • Brief in and assess quality of National Marketing Activation plans & tactics
  • Optimize Go to Market strategy to stay ahead of competition
  • Develop, execute, forecast National Base Pricing Strategy and Promotional Plans
  • Demonstrate Customer-First Mindset via Retailer/ETailer Specific Go – To – Market Activation strategy (Product roadmap and Marketing/Promo Plan)

Win with Customers:

  • Leverage Marketing Insights & Analytics + Category Management Teams to bring together the Category Strategy, 4Ps, Shopper and National Promo Plan into a powerful selling story for the Customer to be delivered during key selling points in the Retailer timeline
  • Oversee creation of customer roadmaps and channel strategy
  • Translate Customer needs to Global and Local Center of Excellence to ensure that Philips is a preferred vendor partner
  • Translate the midterm product roadmap into concrete product specifications for implementation by the Sales Teams and the Category Management organization in the different sales channels.
  • Work closely with Sales planning to execute launches, promo plans & key account specific programs
  • Represent the brand with key Sales team members and customers

Stakeholder management:

  • Establish effective working relationships and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies and partners.
  • Capable of engaging and influencing all stakeholders
  • Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from Sr. Management and key constituencies regarding the quality of the plans / projects for the products / Brand.

As part of the Marketing Team, you will work collaboratively with cross functional colleagues, connecting customer and consumers with personal care solutions improving health everywhere while growing as a business builder.

This position is based in Stamford CT with some partial remote work.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience 

  • Bachelor required, MBA preferred
  • 7+ yrs of experience preferably in brand management and/or product marketing management.
  • Demonstrated passion for putting the Consumer at the center of all that is done
  • Technical Marketing/Business Analytics & Fundamentals skills
  • Working knowledge of latest Digital Trends related to business models and activation channels
  • Drive to take Initiative and Ownership
  • Data Driven Decision Making and problem-solving
  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Ability to connect the dots between responsibilities and business strategy
  • Excellent Stakeholder and Sr Management Influence
  • Sense of urgency, adaptability and drive
  • Creativity and entrepreneurship, unwilling to accept status quo
