User Experience Researchers at Zebra help understand and convey an end-to-end user journey across a variety of hardware and software experiences ranging from Mobile technology, Machine Vision, Robotics, Automation, Prescriptive Analytics, and more. As a UX researcher, you will work within defined processes and support larger projects and may lead small initiatives. You will help contribute to those solutions by understanding user needs in a variety of enterprise spaces and conducting research to define personas, workflows and operational challenges. As a UX Researcher, you will primarily be responsible for conducting usability testing and validation testing throughout the product development process and presenting relevant findings to product teams to optimally drive design direction. Additional responsibilities could include collecting and analyzing customer-focused information and working directly with teams to ensure that the voice of the customer is translated into successful product solutions. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with UX designers and senior researchers to prepare research.
  • Proficient understanding of interaction design, research and usability testing methodologies.
  • Supports all stages of design development process from customer research, concept development, usability testing, customer validation.
  • Analyzes and presents research and usability testing results to internal designers for feedback.
  • Develops positive relationships with other engineering fields and other functions, such as sales, manufacturing, and marketing to support client needs.
  • Basic understanding of mobile or web development technologies and limitations.
  • Establishes UX HF requirements for sophisticated design projects and works on completing all phases of UX engineering design projects
  • Works on analysis of processes and delivers results to vital stakeholders.
  • Analyzes results and recommends solutions
  • Reviews changes or upgrades to existing designs or test
  • Completes phases of design projects on various levels at different complexity.
  • Makes and implements recommendations to improve product and team performance.
  • Maintains an understanding in multiple technical areas and a knowledge of the latest technology and design techniques.
  • Understands customer needs and reflects those needs in UX HF work.
  • Develops positive relationships with other engineering fields and other functions, such as sales, manufacturing, and marketing to support client needs. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related fields of studies.
    • 2+ years' experience in UX testing/ Usability testing. Preferred skills
      • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and collaboratively problem-solve
      • Be able to prepare test plans and conduct usability testing
      • Critical analysis of customer issues and design opportunities
      • Experience with human factors principles and usability testing
      • Research planning & interview skills
      • Usability testing & concept validation
