#HARMain ResponsibilitiesSpecific Duties and Essential FunctionsA Critical Facility Security Officer protects the critical facilities of a high profiel client. These buildings are those whose size, location, associate population, and critical business functions creates a unique threat level that requires a more robust and proactive security awareness.

Duties include:Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicleWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsSound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsWarn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articlesPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exitsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activitiesProvide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerThe Ideal CandidateEducation, Licenses and Certifications RequiredWhat does it take to qualify for this great opportunity? We're looking for professional detail-oriented individuals with a talent for effectively assessing/evaluating situations and identifying critical issues.Here's the minimum you'll need to be a successful Critical Facility Security Officer:Must possess a high school diploma or equivalentMust be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensingPass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicleType and Length of Specific Experience RequiredYou will also need to possess one or more of the following:3 years civilian law enforcement3 years private or corporate security experience3 years military experience with a favorable dischargeCriminal Justice Degree or law enforcement related degree, Associate's or higherGraduate of a law enforcement training academySkills RequiredYou also need the following skills:Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsAbility to interact cordially and communicate with the publicEffective oral and written communication skillsActive listening skillsAbility to assess and evaluate situations effectivelyAbility to identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyAttention to detailOther RequirementsMust be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the State, if higherMust be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United StatesMust have access to reliable transportationSubject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by lawMust be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior militaryUpon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:MMPI - Psychological testingReliability Assessment testingPhysical examPhysical Requirements and EnvironmentEnvironment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heatMajor activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observingPhysical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
