Job Description
Responsibilities:
---Develop services in PL/SQL or T-SQL.
---Work with the development team to design and extend creative solutions to accommodate business needs.
---Occasional scripting and .NET desktop application development.
---Work with the UI development team to integrate support for new features.
---Adhere to best practices.
---Participate in code reviews.
---Analyze and master data and data models.
---Work with users to:

o Gather and understand requirements.

o Fulfill support and one-off development requests.

o Train users on system functionality.

Qualifications:
---3 or more years of database development experience.
---Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL (T-SQL acceptable).
---Experience developing database-oriented solutions that involved significant business logic written in PL/SQL.
---Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
---Understanding of common software development and project management practices.
---Self-motivated, inquisitive with a high level of integrity.
---Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and own the work involved.
---Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
---Great organizational skills and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work with ambiguity.
---Flexible, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to quick change.

Experience Pluses:
---Experience with the Oracle Analytic functions.
---Working closely with users and other developers.
---Developing UI solutions or, supporting UI developers with back-end database solutions.
---Atlassian products (Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo).
---Working for a financial industry company and knowledge of securities.
---Tableau reporting.
---ETL and Job scheduling systems.
