Job Description:

Software Developer, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US: Build and operate large-scale distributed systems. Responsible for the planning, developing, and maintaining the hybrid cloud infrastructure components to support Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-service cloud computing models. Leverage knowledge of IBM Cloud, Amazon Web services, Azure cloud Platform, and efficiently utilize different cloud native infrastructure services on these cloud providers to build & deploy company's cloud-based software offerings. Develop and deploy containerized applications on Kubernetes and Openshift Container Platform. Work on Identity and Access Management (IAM), and best cloud security practices to implement very secure software services. Identify industry best practices to develop and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines using the latest tools. Write clean, robust, and well-thought-out code with an emphasis on performance, quality, scalability, and maintainability. Develop testing frameworks to promote incremental changes to production, debug issues, review code developed by peers and maintain software applications and automation scripts. Work with all project and offering stakeholders to design and deliver company software on cloud. Utilize Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment methodologies, Distributed Systems, Software application design and development, Programming in modern languages (Java, Nodejs), and Scripting. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment methodologies, Distributed Systems, Software application design and development, Programming in modern languages (Java, Nodejs), and Scripting.
