Description. Position Summary The primary role of the Global
Supply Chain Planning Technology Lead is to shape the sub
functions' strategy through technology leadership and deliver
solutions to achieve the strategy and drive competitive advantage.
This role will help the Global SC Technology leade to identify,
prioritize and the delivery of projects that support ELC's long
term growth opportunities. In addition, this position manages the
global solutioning process across multiple process areas: Planning,
Distribution, and New Product Launch. This role partners directly
with the Supply Chain delivery leaders to attain and retain top
talent. The successful candidate will work very closely not only
with the Supply and Demand Planning leadership teams but also with
the Supply Chain Center of Exellence teams to drive continuous
improvements in processes and technoloby. This is a true business
partner role requiring a point of view and the ability to make
proactive recommendations. This position will provide thought
leadership, management and oversight of all application solutions
(cloud first, however on premises where required) for ELC. The role
holder will be accountable for the investments required in Planning
and Procurement as well as managing the portfolio of digital
application solutions. This position is based in New York City and
reports into the VP Global Supply Chain Technology Leader Key Roles
& Responsibilities. Act as the primary point of contact and
technology business partner to Planning Leadership Team (PLT) and
delivers value by shaping and informing the business strategy,
defining capabilities required to achieve the strategy and bringing
forth recommended technology solutions to enable these
capabilities. Working with the GSC Technology Leader and rest of
GSC Tech team, the role holder will be accountable for the Planning
and Procurment strategy and portfolio. This includes running
regular portfolio planning and progress updates with their business
partner. Driving the development of business cases and representing
the function in IT Alignment sessions. Ultimately accountable for
Technology Investment funds (10+mm). Leads a team that is
accountable for all technology solutioning for Planning function
and is accountable for innovative, strategic business solutions.
These solutions are consistent with corporate strategic objectives
and ensure that the function can support the needs of the growing
business. Work collaboratively across the IT organization to ensure
all technology services needs are identified in a timely way and
communicated, planned and budgeted effectively. Must effectively
communicate and collaborate with Brand and Region Technology teams.
Builds teams (Pods) who oversee and manage IT governance and IT
portfolio management for Global Planning and Procurement. Ensure
the realization of the business strategies through technology and
continued process improvements. Align tightly with the BIA
organization and collaborate to ensure excellent information flow
and availability to enable the best data driven, consumer connected
enterprise. Ensures the strategic agenda is serviced by strong data
and analytic services including data science, analytic
productionalizing and ongoing support. Coordinate with technology
providers to evaluate new and innovative technologies and service
offerings. Responsible for the teams who develop business
requirements, coordinates with enterprise architects (enterprise,
solution, information---.) to ensure new services and solutions
align with roadmaps. Work closely with the Global, Regional and
local Strategic Business Partners to balance enterprise
efficiencies with local. Drive an Agile mindset and delivery
culture throughout the business function, advocating speed and
agility and act as a change agent within the function for Agile
adoption. Qualifications. Leadership Skills. Excellent leadership
skills and demonstrated experience with building and developing
teams. Act as a Functional Technology Leader - demonstrating
outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, ability
influence and provide technology thought leadership to the Planning
(Supply, Demand, Inventory) Leadership and act as a trusted
advisor. Highly collaborative relationship building skills with
various internal and external stakeholders. Must demonstrate a high
sense of urgency to influence changes and drive outcomes from
conception to delivery. Effective business communicator, with high
emotional quotient and excellent executive presence. Candidate
should be an effective story-teller and be able to swiftly align
and mobilize disparate teams by setting a vision common goal.
Technical Skills. Experience and demonstrated success leading and
delivering large, global transformation programs enabled by
technology. Global implementation experience in core technologies
such as SAP ERP (S4 ideally); IBP and end to end planning systems
(o9, Mi9); Data Analytics. Experience product development and
technology planning. Expertise in application design/architecture,
integration architecture development, enterprise application
integration, and integration technologies solutions and standards.
Demonstrates technical domain experience and expertise in a number
of key areas - Procurement tools (direct and indirect); as well as
planning systems (from New Product launch planning to manufacturing
scheduling). Drive outstanding insights and innovative
game-changing opportunities through data science and analytics.
Hands on experience and demonstrated success in leading digital
solutions and familiarity with new technologies (AI, IoT,
analytics) and how they can be exploited to give ELC a competitive
advantage. Competent in new technology evaluation, ability to
support technical change management and provide thought leadership
skills in integration technologies, tools and services. Ideally
have demonstrated relationships with best in class software vendors
including cloud and platform vendors Business Skills. Solid
understanding of supply chain processes End to End; specially in
planning and procurement areas. Excellent problem-solving skills,
attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities. Experience in
using data and data science to drive quantitative analysis and
break-through outcomes. Intense focus on business outcomes,
demonstrating the ability to have material impacts on core business
measures: e.g: Inventory; Order Fill Rate, Forecast Accuracy;
Attainment; Fill Rate, Asset Utilization; Cost Optimization.
Continuously is learning and is curious. Keeps abreast of best in
class supply chain practices and is familiar with the competitive
practices and technologies. High proficiency in supply chain
fundamentals and clearly understand how technology can help not
only supporting daily processing but also enabling transformation.
Budget and resource management Minimum Education Level: Masters in
Business School, IT or Supply Chain Minimum Years of Experience:
15+ % Travel Time: 25%+ Licenses or Certifications: Certification
PM, Scurm (ideally).
