LIDO is looking for a Lighting Project Manager who is passionate
about their daily role of pleasing BOTH a customer AND a
manufacturer. As a distributor, we find ourselves as a "middle
person" and this requires ALWAYS being professional and nice to
The primary focus of this position is to process light fixture
orders with many manufacturers per project AND manage daily to
improve delivery dates when needed.
Perfect applicants will have successful experience with relentless
followup and reporting. With the caveat that reporting alone is not
enough, being able to recognize where timelines fall short and work
toward better delivery results. Must be able to handle multiple
projects happening simultaneously.
This is an INTERNAL OFFICE POSTION at our office in Hauppauge.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in FAST PACED Project Management (Required)
Experience in Construction and/or Construction Material world.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe
Acrobat PDF) (Required)
High attention to detail and multiple tasks at the same time
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal directly with colleagues,
administrators, and clients.
Ability to handle stress under pressure
Strong time management and organizational skills

Comfortable in a fast paced work environment with strict
Knowledge of MAS System a plus (can be trained)

Essential Functions - DAILY ACTIVITY:
Function as the direct point of contact for the job super, client,
vendor and sales rep. for each awarded Project.
Learning Customer expectations including the gathering of all

Process and follow-up on all orders, requests and inquiries for
each project being handled.
Confirm all proposals match vendor purchase orders and

Work with Light Fixtures Submittals when placing orders to ensure

sent back to the vendor or returned to Lido stock.
Match up and approve all client invoices for payment to Accounts

Staple Yourself to the Order - Collaborate with The Estimating Team
throughout order release. Our project managers handle the shipping
side once awarded but it's a TEAM GAME where the estimator is
expected to stay involved as needed.
