Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system known for its

care, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our Neuro
Progressive Care unit on the D5E floor. In this role, you will
provide specialized care to neurological patients who are in a
critical, yet stable condition. Utilizing your expertise in neuro
care, you'll be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering
the highest standards of patient outcomes. Provide direct and
comprehensive nursing care to patients in the neuro progressive
care unit. Assess patients' health problems and needs, develop and
implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled
patients. Advise patients on health maintenance and disease
prevention or provide case management. Supervise and monitor
patient care provided by nursing assistants and other junior
nursing staff. Participate in patient and family teaching sessions
and provide leadership in the psychosocial support of patients and
their families. Proficient in providing complex neuro care
including monitoring neurological status, managing ventilators, and
administering medication intravenously. Ability to operate
sophisticated medical equipment such as patient monitoring systems.
Strong critical thinking skills, capable of making swift decisions
in high-pressure situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of employment. Neuroscience nursing certification
(CNRN) preferred but not required.
