Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system renowned for

for our Critical Patient Services (CPS) and Vascular Intensive Care
Unit (VICU). This role is pivotal in managing and delivering
exceptional care to patients with critical needs. The successful
candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining
excellence in areas of patient recovery and health optimization. As
a Clinical Nurse II, you will utilize advanced nursing processes,
contribute to educational endeavors and participate in clinical
research to enhance patient results. Provide direct and
comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients. Collaborate
with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate individualized
care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as
appropriate. Support patient and family through health processes
and critical decisions. Participate in research and implementation
of best practices in clinical care. Facilitate a learning
environment for nursing students and staff through guidance and
educational opportunities. Strong clinical skills in a critical
care environment Competency with critical care medical equipment
and technology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively
Knowledge of healthcare software and systems Medical Insurance

Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certification Certification in Critical Care Nursing
(CCRN) preferred
