Health to find a qualified Long-Term Care RN in Brooklyn, New York,
11203! Job Title: Cert Nursing Attendant Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Long-Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: All shifts
needed with Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 5x8 Experience: No
prior experience needed License: New York State Certification as a
Nursing Attendant Certifications: CPR certification preferred
Must-Have: High School Diploma or GED required. Description:
Provides direct patient care and related support. Performs other
related duties. Provides routine personal care to patients in a
timely, safe, and effective manner. Care may include bathing,
shaving, brushing teeth, dressing patients, and attending to any
and all of their personal care needs. Prepares patients for meals,
feeds and/or assists with feeding as necessary. Empties bedpans and
collects urine and other specimens. Transfers patients to and from
bed and/or chair via one-person transfer, two-person transfer, and
use of a Hoyer lift. Takes accurate vital signs, temperatures,
pulse, and respirations. Records all necessary information
according to policy and procedure. Performs range of motion
exercises using proper technique. Assists patients in walking and
transports patients by means of wheelchair or stretcher. May be
required to handle reasonably heavy weights across distances. May
be required to handle/assist in lifting patients onto/out of exam
beds/procedure stations. Knowledge of all codes and demonstrates
understanding. Duties performed routinely require exposure to
blood, body fluids, and tissue. Ability to work in surroundings
with a degree of dust and noise without undue discomfort. Ability
to effectively communicate with patients and co-workers. Ability to
read, write, and interpret documents. Ability to stand for long
periods of time at required patient bedside and/or procedural
areas. Ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk to perform
