A nationally recognized non-profit, independent health system in Connecticut with over 4,100 employees, providing high-quality, patient-centered care, is adding a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. About the Opportunity: Total outpatient Health system consists of a 305-bed hospital and a Medical Group with 40 office locations The hospital is a primary teaching site for Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Join an innovative and trailblazing program for treating pediatric patients in emotional and behavioral crisis Opening one of the first pediatric Emergency Psychiatry Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) units in the nation, which will be complemented by a short-term 12-week outpatient crisis stabilization program This role will be 50% EmPATH unit-based and 50% outpatient crisis stabilization office-based The psychiatrist will round on the EmPATH unit weekday mornings and then spend afternoons providing outpatient follow-up care to patients recently discharged from EmPATH Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm No required call or weekend shifts Compensation and Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, 403b, Life insurance, flex plan, malpractice CME allowance and generous PTO Robust salary plus generous sign-on bonus and relocation bonus Community/Location: Located in southwest Connecticut, 1 hour from New York City Local commuter rail station with non-stop service to Grand Central Station This community has a lively walkable downtown area, UCONN campus, and a mini-Manhattan vibe Local events and amenities include an outdoor concert series, the Palace Theater, Cove Beach, Harbor Point, Chelsea Piers Sports Complex, and The Maritime Aquarium Top-rated public and private schools JV-66
