Job Title: Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit (Night Shift) - URGENT HIRINGLocation: Manhattan, New York, NY USAShift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM - Every Other Weekend (EOW) & Holidays RequiredPay: $60-$68/hr or $2000 - $2340 weekly grossContract Type: 89-Week Assignment - 34.5 Guaranteed Hours/WeekOverview:We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Stepdown Unit on the Night Shift. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of recent stepdown experience and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible impact on patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Patient Care:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care guided by the nursing process and professional practice models.
• Conduct assessments, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and revise individualized care plans.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families throughout the continuum of care.Patient Experience:
  • Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Promote a compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive care environment.
  • Participate in bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and discharge planning.Quality and Safety:
    • Adhere to high-reliability principles and institutional safety standards.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based audits.
    • Escalate concerns and follow chain-of-command protocols to ensure patient safety.Operations & Documentation:
      • Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
      • Ensure optimal use of staffing and material resources.
      • Document care accurately in EPIC, in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.Professional Development:
        • Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, professional growth, and mentorship.
        • Actively participate in shared governance, specialty councils, and team initiatives.Required Qualifications:
          • Active NYS RN License
          • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association)
          • Minimum 3 years of recent Stepdown experience
          • 2+ years of cardiology, telemetry, or VAD experience
          • EPIC experience highly preferred
          • Travel nurses: 1 year of prior travel RN experience
          • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience and/or active BSN program enrollmentContract Details:
            • Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 hours/week
