Stamford Health is seeking a Clinical Educator to join their Oncology team! A Registered Nurse Clinical Instructor(PDS) is responsible for the systematic process of assessment, development, and evaluation that enhances the performance or professional development of health care providers and their continuing competence.These programs include but are not limited to: new hire Nursing Orientation, Nursing Update Day, Support Staff Update Day, Traveler Nurse, Affiliating Nursing Schools Instructor Orientation & Organizational/Unit Specific/Service Line Educational Initiatives. Comprehensive oversight of unit based orientees(nurse residents, experienced RN external hires, travelers and clinical assistants. Competency based orientation planning and documentation, including facilitation of preceptor and nurse manager meetings, and development and implementation of individualized orientation plans to meet learning needs.Assists the Senior Director of Professional Development in Assessing, Planning, Implementing, and Evaluating house-wide education programs which have been identified. Incumbents of this position will need to have basic knowledge and understanding of oncology nursing care and collaborate with clinical resources available to support the clinical staff in providing care. Primary area of support will include inpatient Oncology Unit and Bennett Cancer Center.

Graduate from an accredited School of NursingCurrent Registered Nurse License in ConnecticutBSN Required, MSN preferred. Will consider well-qualified candidates with a BSN who are actively pursuing a Master's Degree3-5 years recent clinical experience in an acute care setting. Recent clinical experience Oncology Nursing.Maintains appropriate job-related membership in professional organizationManages time effectively by meeting deadlines for completion of work projects, being prompt to appointments and commitments, assisting others when time is availableNational certification in appropriate related specialty could be in-progressAHA certified ACLS, BLS
