& Compliance Head of Vendor Management role is an exciting newly
created opportunity where you will help change and drive AXA XL's
vendor management leading practices and their adoption within
Claims and Legal & Compliance. You'll achieve this by partnering
with various stakeholders including the Claims and Legal &
Compliance and Procurement teams to define the strategy to manage
critical external relationships (Legal Panels, independent
adjusters (IAs), and experts.) This role will drive the
implementation of best practices in vendor selection, instruction,
budgeting, and overall performance management as well as adherence
to internal Risk and IT Security governance and protocols. Role
will have oversight of approximately $500m in external
spend.DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your -essential
responsibilities include?Establishing a cohesive Global Claims and
Legal & Compliance vendor strategy resulting in collaborative
partnerships with critical third parties with an eye towards
controlling total costs and ensuring compliance with governance
protocols, AXA Group, VRF and compliance requirementsDriving
improvement in the total cost of claim through the disciplined
management and strategic usage of external counsel and other
third-party vendors including panelsEstablishment of the Global
Vendor Governance Framework in agreement with Regional Vendor and
claims management recognizing regional/local country differences
Driving clarity of roles and responsibilities as part of the
Governance Framework between numerous stakeholders participating in
the comprehensive vendor strategy including global and regional
Vendor Management and Claim teams, Procurement, Risk and IT
SecurityCoordinating the Vendor Risk Framework globally to improve
consistency and visibility of associated activity, governance, and
metrics In partnership with the Data and Analytics team, developing
and advancing vendor management data, reporting and analytics
capabilities to provide critical insights with Claims and Legal &
Compliance leadership to improve operating and financial resultsIn
addition to driving and monitoring the performance metrics of
vendors, you will be responsible for setting expectations with
select vendors on results, rates, service levels and performance
(in partnership with other vendor relationship managers as
appropriate)Representing AXA XL Claims and Legal & Compliance to
its vendors, and ensuring optimal quality and cost of
serviceSupport due diligence, processes and on-boarding of firms,
communicating AXA XL's expectations to ensure firms are aligned to
overall approachIn partnership with Procurement and Claims and
Legal & Compliance leadership, developing, maintaining, and
optimizing preferred vendor lists and monitoring the respective
adherence Involvement in periodic formal relationship reviews to
base upon past performance, engagement scope, and rate
competitiveness and quality of service results In partnership with
regional Claim Vendor Managers, provide training and educational
subject matter content and support to enable vendor management best
practices behavior in ClaimsYou will report to the Chief Operating

ExternalWe're looking for someone who has these abilities and
skills:Deep data/information aggregation and analytics skills:
Ability to consolidate information on existing and new vendors
(legal and non-legal), identify new insights and patterns, provide
support to senior management, and claim handlers, to provide the
competitive edge required, to improve the quality of
decisions.Broad vendor or supply chain management experience: Must
have demonstrated experience working with Legal and/or Independent
Adjuster (IA) vendors, with a solid technical knowledge of Legal
and IA firms in the P&C insurance sector.Strategic and
collaborative thinking: Ability to build strong vendor
relationships, identify performance gaps and deliver improvements,
collaborating with vendors, providers and other colleagues and
teams. Demonstrated ability to envision, plan, collaborate and
execute.Proven change management, training, and education
experience in vendor management.Strong leadership skills:
Demonstrates experience to lead and participate in vendor
discussions and negotiations. Coaches, sets expectations,
evaluates, and communicates key messages to vendors.Exceptional
communication and negotiation skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Relationship
builder: Distinctive relationship building skills. Successfully
