Job Description:
The Total Rewards & Payroll Manager will play a key role in
refining and delivering an unparalleled employee experience.
Reporting directly to the head of HR, this role will work behind
the scenes to design, build and deliver the best experience for our
employees. This position will make a positive difference for
Zwilling J. A. Henckels employees by optimizing and enhancing our
current offerings and implementing best practices. This role will
manage one HR professional. This position continually looks for
opportunities to take initiative and improve the Human Resources
department as well as the organization. As Total Rewards & Payroll
Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful
delivery of HR transactional processes across the employee
lifecycle (onboarding through offboarding). The role will work
collaboratively and collectively across the HR function to drive
quality + timely transactions with delightful experiences. The role
ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, HR
policies, and practices, and provides guidance and resolutions for
escalated employee concerns.U.S. citizens and those authorized to

Essential Functions
--- Processes bi-weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees and
related reports for exempt and non-exempt staff. Develops systems
and payroll security, controls, and data integrity protocols and
oversees their application.
--- Manages benefits administration efforts including annual open
enrollment. Works with the broker to review and analyze benefits
data to identify trends, determine employee and business needs, and
develop benefits strategies and programs.
--- Develops and delivers communications to the organization
regarding system, benefits, and process changes.
--- Manages HRIS System - UKG/UltiPro
--- Manages all onboarding and off-boarding activities as well as
those activities associated with promotions, job transfers, or
other changes in employee status.
--- Administers employee leave of absences, including assessing
leave eligibility and advising on leave entitlements.
--- Responsible for 401(k) administration and communication.
--- Completes requests for verification of employment as well as
responses to unemployment claims and workers comp claims.
--- Conducts new employee orientation to ensure quick assimilation
into the organization.
--- Participates in policy development and the development of
supporting processes.
--- Solid understanding of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, Worker's
Comp, Dept of Labor, and related state, and federal regulations
required.
The Expertise And Skills You Bring
--- CPP Certification, preferred
--- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field,
preferred.
--- 4-5 years of Payroll/HR experience in a retail environment with
hourly associates.
--- Proven track record in project management, managing multiple
deliverables with a consultative and customer-focused approach
--- Deep expertise in Payroll, Benefits, State Tax/Unemployment
Insurance, Vendor Management
--- Ability to manage and gain agreement on tasks and abilities
from indirect team members and 3rd party vendors
--- Able to apply a high level of confidentiality and professional
maturity
--- Demonstrate ownership and accountability of your projects and
activities
--- Ability to prioritize multiple activities while meeting
critical deadlines
--- Capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal
and external business partners
Pay: $85,000-$100,000 DOE
