Summary: -Lockwood is an industry leading Medical Communications Consulting Agency. We are seeking a VP, Group Scientific Director to provide leadership and direction to internal and freelance scientific team members in addition to maintaining client relationships and account management responsibilities. -In this role, the VP, Group Scientific Director is responsible for leading scientific team members in the planning and execution of scientific content for assigned accounts across various therapeutic areas including a Promotional Oncology Account. -Responsibilities: -

  • Responsible for collaborating with Scientific and Client Services Leadership Teams, to provide clients with strategic medical communication recommendations that support the achievement of brand goals. -
  • Manage the development of high-quality Scientific content,
  • Management of scientific resources, including staffing and finances, on assigned accounts. -
  • Responsible for the oversight and mentorship of scientific team members on assigned accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in partnership with the Strategic Services Team. -Education: -An advanced degree in biomedical sciences is required.Professional Skills & Experience: -
    • 10 or more years of relevant professional experience that includes the development and review of promotional medical education content such as slide decks and other materials for advisory boards, speaker programs, etc. -
    • Prior team leadership experience is required and also an ability to work collaboratively across agency/team functions.
    • Therapeutic area experience in Oncology is required. -
    • This role requires demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret scientific data, multitask, work independently, and manage projects within tight deadlines with limited direction. -
    • Experience with established professional medical editorial processes (eg, AMA style), industry guidelines, and regulations is also required. -This position can be performed remotely in all but the following locations: Colorado, New York City, San Francisco County, CA.
