The Engineering Customer Response Team (ECRT) is responsible for providing engineering solutions in support of Zebra products that are in use around the world at customer sites. The team works closely with several areas within the business including production sites, quality engineering, operations, service, distribution and sales and marketing among others. This role is to provide engineering program management support for our enterprise mobile computing business and products. The team is responsible for analyzing and solving customer problems that are identified by end users of our mobile computing products and implementing solutions into production and throughout the supply chain. Location: Holtsville, New York (partial remote) Responsibilities:Hands on hardware engineering experience, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing, in electronics industry. Thorough understanding of operations and supply chain. Good leadership and communication skills Engineering project management experience Manages and directs activities of the engineering team while actively participating in root cause analysis and developing engineering solutions using a team approach. Monitor the program from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and overseeing budget/spending. May lead multiple limited to moderate scope projects simultaneously. Solicits participation of team members from key stakeholder teams including Product Management, Engineering, Service/support, Operations, and other functional groups. Organizes cross-functional activities required to complete the program/project in its entirety. Owns regular meeting coordination, facilitation, and documentation of progress Gathers status updates from the project team and interprets inputs from the team to assemble a consolidated view of status. Provides regular status updates to senior management as directed. Demonstrates the ability to see cross-functional impacts of decisions and project plans and execution. Understands the business objectives of the program and assumes personal accountability for success of the program against those objectives Clear and concise verbal and written communication, strong motivation to succeed, and self-direction are required. Understands customer needs and reflects those needs in the support provided. Effectively communicate engineering information to Zebra account teams and end customers. Very limited supervision by management is expected in this position for complex or novel problems Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree required Minimum 5 years experience required Preferred Qualification: Intermediate to advanced communication and facilitation skills. Intermediate to advanced presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to mid to senior level cross functional audiences Intermediate to advanced skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office and MS Project Intermediate to advanced skills in delegation and follow up Basic understanding of electronics manufacturing and assembly including supply chain operations.
