The Strategy & Business Development Manager will work on evaluating new therapeutic asset and collaboration opportunities as part of an integrated team that drives strategic, business development, competitive intelligence, and partnering initiatives within SpringWorks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Work with team members to build and maintain corporate revenue and valuation models.
  • Prepare presentations and lead internal meetings to review recommendations related to corporate strategy, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain and expand internal knowledge base in areas of scientific, clinical, and strategic interest to the company via scientific/medical conference attendance, market research, KOL interactions, and literature reviews.
  • Collaborate with and communicate across functional areas (R&D, Medical Affairs, Legal, Program Management, Finance) to integrate cross-functional input into due diligence evaluations and recommendations.
  • Work with team members to conduct analyses and prepare materials to support interactions with key external stakeholders (e.g., Board members, existing/prospective investors, and/or research analysts).
  • Analyzes industry dynamics and the competitive landscape and identifies opportunities for expansion in key growth markets and regions.
  • Support the development and implementation of the overarching business development strategy, and best practices across the company.

    Education & Experience:
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree preferably in business, life sciences, economics or other related field.

      Experience

      • 3+ years of experience working on new therapeutic asset opportunities (e.g., business development in a biopharmaceutical company, investment banking, sell-side equity research, venture capital investing, hedge fund investing).

        Skills:
        Technical

        • Strong quantitative, financial modeling, and forecasting skills (MS Excel).
        • Ability to craft clear and attractive presentation materials for internal and external audiences (MS PowerPoint).
        • Ability to interpret and evaluate preclinical and clinical data.

          Leadership

          • Persistent attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing timelines and priorities.
          • Demonstrated experience in managing and influencing diverse project activities.
          • Ability to make sound judgement in complex situations and adapt to changing business needs by prioritizing multiple tasks.
          • Ability to influence key stakeholders and decision makers

            Communication

            • Exceptional communication skills, with ability to cogently express complex ideas verbally and in writing.

              Other

              • Unassailable integrity and a passion for bringing new therapies to patients.
              • Persistent attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing timelines and priorities.
              • Deep knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry and drug development process.

                The expected salary range for this position is $105,000 - $137,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
