The Director, Customer Collaboration & Growth Planning will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of Diageo's Collaboration Center and enabling higher level engagement with target customers and selling partners. Primary responsibilities will be to develop a grounded vision for the facility, establish measurable performance metrics, deliver an unparalleled experience for all attendees, ensure long term relevancy and take lead on developing growth strategies and joined up business plans across our customer teams.The successful candidate will demonstrate previous success in running a B2B collaboration facility with a proven track record to drive "joined-up" planning that delivers accelerated business growth on a category and Diageo level. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with large scale retailers in the CPG space across all channels of trade (Grocery, Club, Mass, Drug, Liquor Chains, Large Independents and Military) and working through a 3-Tier distribution model. Significant experience in sales, marketing and/or strategy is preferred. Strong C-level influencing skills will be critical for the position!From a leadership perspective, it is required that the candidate can lead cross-functional teams through sophisticated business issues and successfully influence across all functions and levels within Diageo and our customer's organizations. Management Responsibility:Manage day-to-day activities of a 7-person team (3 direct reports, 4 indirect) and a 17,000 square foot facility comprised of 7 experiential roomsCreate long term strategy to deliver the vision and purpose of the DCC and future proof for on-going relevancyBuild capability with sales and customer teams to deliver customer, distributor and agency visitsManage all DCC agency partners - technology and marketingPartner with/lead Diageo internal teams (Sales, Brand, Customer Marketing, Finance) and our distributor and retail partners to drive the desired outcome for each DCC engagementLead the capability development of delivering robust customer growth strategies and annual joint business plans for the spirits category and DiageoSupport Diageo in the on-going development of its culture and valuesComplexity of Role:Proven capabilities in leading/developing teams, defining/setting vision and strategic direction in the CPG spaceBuild relationships and influence decision making with C-level executives at large and small retailers and distributorsRobust understanding of technology solutions in the communication and presentation spaceStrong understanding of future trends and how to bring them to life in an experiential environmentCurate/build relevant content for each experiential room in-line with brand and category strategiesSets vision for DCC and recommend room modifications as needed on an on-going basisPerforms all DCC meetings flawlessly and ensures desired outcomes are achievedManages all agency resources (technology, mixology, etc) as required to realize visionConducts M&E to drive continuous strategy/facility optimizationResponsible for identifying future partnership opportunities with grounded financial forecastingResponsible for developing team and individual capabilitiesExperience:College graduate with 15+ years relevant experience that should include:Experience interacting with C-level executives and government officialsProven leadership skills with track record of developing, promoting impactful teamsSolid software skills relevant to CPG data management/insight generation (syndicated, SPECTRA, panel data, shopper loyalty, sales performance tracking, virtual reality)Sales experience with major CPG or beverage category a plusStrong presentation and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated success in: Customer engagement and category developmentDiagnostics/problem solvingInsight generation and strategy developmentJoined up business planning with large and small retailersAs a global leader in beverage alcohol, our 200+ brands are part of everyday celebrations in over 180 countries.
