Job Description:
This role leads the Field Operations data reporting, analytics,
and metrics processes, systems, and matrix management of a broad
set of distributed teams using operational data sources to analyze
and improve the operations. Directly leads specialized data
analysis staff as well as extensive matrix management of and
partnership responsibilities with Charter---s Business Intelligence
team along with numerous regionally distributed analytics teams.
Furthermore, the role administers and performs supporting analytics
and policy management of the Field Operations performance
compensation plans, including plans for approximately 20,000
technicians, 2,000 front line management personnel, and 500
executives. This role requires extensive interaction with Field
Operations senior executives and executives in other business
units, ensuring data processes align with operational strategies
throughout Charter. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and
consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the
customer experience Lead the strategy and development of budget
models for expenses and capital, including supporting budget
schedules for headcount, productivity and operating categories.
Oversee the month end close review, ensuring that accruals are
accurate and complete. Lead the monthly review of expenses and
capital to budget and forecast, and explain variances with
operational analytics and insight to Senior Leadership and to the
finance group. Interface with Field Operations leaders, compile
forecast models on a quarterly basis, and create reports to do a
rolling forecast each month to provide financial visibility.
Provide financial analysis specific to the needs of Field
Operations. Provide business case, ROI and payback analysis,
including ROI support for capital initiatives. Oversee operating
metrics reporting activity for Field Operations. Responsible for
regulatory reporting requirements; provide monthly certification to
accuracy of financial reports, and respond to auditor requests
regarding financials. Foster a culture of consistency,
accountability and continuous improvement. Attract and retain
highly effective management and supervisory staff through
mentoring, coaching, development, appraisal and motivation
techniques. Assist in the preparation and management of capital
budget, operating budget, and expense management for assigned area.

Skills / Abilities and Knowledge Solid financial management skills
including forecasting, budgeting planning and a keen business
acumen Strong analytic, organizational, and problem solving skills
Thorough knowledge of operating metrics reporting processes and
regulatory reporting requirements Solid understanding of credit
management processes and practices Solid understanding of fraud
risk management processes and practices Strong knowledge of MIS and
reporting systems Ability to communicate orally and in writing, in
a clear and straightforward manner Ability to communicate with all
levels of management and company personnel Ability to define key
performance indicators / metrics Ability to document, prepare and
present data-driven presentations Ability to make decisions and
solve problems while working under pressure Ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously Ability to prioritize and organize
effectively Mature judgment and individual initiative Ability to
supervise and motivate others Proven track record of developing
staff and maintaining a high standard of employee relations Ability
to use personal computer and software Knowledge of broadband
products and services Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or
Finance required. Master---s degree preferred. Related Work
