This role is in office M-F The Sr Manager Corporate Safety is responsible for the strategic management of safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulatory requirements. Assist in creation of company policies, programs and procedures. Responsible for accident data compilation, abatement, record keeping, safety communication and awareness, and field system audits. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support regional safety leadership in creating a safety culture as well as being an agent of influence in the safety environment. Oversee the compilation and review of injury and vehicle incident data, including investigation documentation and reporting in order to develop and report frequency trends and targets for reduction. Assist with development and implementation of EHS initiatives in assigned Regions. Assist with implementation of new safety technologies across the enterprise. Lead the planning, scheduling, execution and reporting of EHS audits within assign Regions. Actively identify best practices and develop draft justification plans to pilot or implement company-wide. Routinely communicate with regional safety managers. Provide guidance to regional safety teams on regulatory and corporate compliance. Point of contact for external inquiries related to safety and compliance matters. Effectively communicate to all levels of management regarding current safety performance, potential hazards, serious incidents, and changes to guidelines affecting safety policies and procedures. Monitor incident trends and collaborate with training department and creation of new/improved training programs. Perform other duties as requested by manager. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner Ability to use personal computer and software applications Ability to work independently Basic knowledge of fire prevention programs Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations Ability to interact with regulatory agencies Ability to utilize third party databases and reporting Basic knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods for safety management Advanced skills with Microsoft office products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental reporting and compliance requirements and recordkeeping including Tier II, HMBP, Air Permitting, Wastewater, Tank Management, RCRA, Sustainability, Energy, SPCC and spill plans, and DOT Hazardous Materials Ability to build and develop environmental compliance training Ability to evaluate waste management compliance under RCRA requirements at various types of Charter locations and provide feedback Ability to effectively communicate at all levels Education Associate's degree in safety, environmental health or related field, or equivalent experience Related Work Experience 5 years Safety administration experience preferred 2 years Safety management experience preferred Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA, including California), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), experience including representing company in an informal and formal environment concerning citations, complaints, audits and accident investigations preferred Industry experience preferred Certifications and/or Licenses Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety Manager (CSM), or Certified Safety & Health Officer (CSHO) (preferred) Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within Company required standards WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment (this role is in office M-F) Field exposure 10-20% travel LI-ME2 ESE602 301400 301400BR
