Job DescriptionOur client, FoodPrep Solutions, has an exciting
opportunity for an IT Manager. FoodPrep Solutions provides services
to the Foodservice Industry throughout the Northeast and
Mid-Atlantic regions. You will serve as an integral part of the
startup team, working directly with the CEO and COO. The company's
growth plan is heavily focused on completing acquisitions of
smaller companies, and you will have the ability to work in a
dynamic environment of a growth business. POSITION SUMMARY:Plan,
initiate, and manage information technology (hardware and software)
projects for the organization. Serve as liaison between business
and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess
business implications, evaluate project costs and benefits,
determine necessary upgrades, explore new technologies, and keeping
computer networks and information secure.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:Oversee Overall Systems and Software Operations
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate technology, software, and
data operations
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and
procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to
contribute to organizational policy
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in
time
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Preserve assets, information security and control
structures
- Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectivenessSoftware
Operations, Recommendations and Implementation
- Manage the company's Microsoft platform, including Outlook,
Office 365 and Great Plains/Dynamics
- Evaluate and recommend software that fulfills operational
needs, such as route optimization, fleet management, and inventory
management.
- Explore opportunities to synchronize operational software with
the company's Microsoft platform
- Evaluate devices, such as PDA's, tablets and GPS that promote
efficiencies with financial and operational software.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of company website,
SEO and social media platforms
- Create training materials and execute training as neededManage
Hardware, Network, and Cloud Operations
- Install and configure computers, including arranging for
distribution to multiple locations
- Repair and/or replace broken or malfunctioning equipment
- Maintain electrical hardware and peripheral devices (for
example, restore hard drives, keyboards, displays, power supplies)
- Setup, configure, and provide support for peripheral devices
(for example, routers, drives, network filters, video cameras)
- Cloud management and supportTelephony
- Setup and address equipment related issuer re: wireless carrier
(for example, equipment upgrade/change in service)
- Respond to telephone/data related issues (for example, new
lines, down lines).IT Technical Support
- Provide technical support over the phone and on site as
required.
- Communicate technical problems, instructions and resolutions to
non-technical users and staff in a manner which they will
understand.
- Gather data pertaining to user needs, and use the information
to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network
requirements.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and
other network and system problems.
- Coordinate with outside vendors.REQUIRED AND PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer
science, information technology or related field of study.
- Required Experience:
- 4-6 years in a combination of IT support and leadership for a
small to medium sized company.
- Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT
infrastructures across various technologies
- Required Skills:
- Knowledge of hardware and cloud networking, including designs,
uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic
equipment, and computer hardware and software, including
applications and programming.
- Proficient in Microsoft software and platforms, including
Server, Office, and Exchange.Travel Requirements:May be required to
travel to FPS facilities for daily, overnight, or multi-night
