Citi Investment Management (CIM) is a group within Citi Global Wealth (CGW) that manages assets on a discretionary and advisory basis for high and ultra-high net worth clients. With approximately $100 billion in assets under management and advisement globally, CIM manages a broad suite of investment strategies within single and multi-asset class products. CIM is currently seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Multi Asset Strategy to join our team of investment professionals and contribute to the investment management and portfolio construction capabilities of CIM's strategies. The candidate will be responsible for leading the development of new multi-asset class models and will be senior portfolio manager on opportunistic strategies like Core Income and Thematic. Responsibilities:

• Lead development of new multi asset class models for CIM, including Thematic and Core Income multi asset class models.
• Work closely with Quantitative Research and Asset Allocation team and Office of Chief Investment Strategist to bring best thinking of Global Investments and Citi to our modelling and portfolios.
• Act as Lead strategy Portfolio Manager on Income orientated multi-asset class portfolios that blend core and opportunistic fixed income and dividend equities
• Act as Lead strategy Portfolio Manager on Thematic orientated multi-asset class portfolios.
• Actively market these new models and portfolios to bankers, investment counselors and clients.
• Daily management of these discretionary multi-asset class portfolios including monitoring, periodic rebalancing, and coordinating with banking and portfolio implementation teams around trading and other portfolio management issues.
• Work directly with investment management research as well as internal and third party managers used in portfolios to stay abreast of performance and positioning and assist with the preparation of periodic performance reviews.
• Run portfolio construction analytics and ad hoc analysis to support portfolio decisions.
• Engage with various internal groups on a daily basis including banking teams; risk oversight; trading and implementation; and legal and compliance as needed to support portfolio management and client activity.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of direct experience in the asset management industry, preferably in a multi-asset class portfolio management role.
  • Experience in fixed income investing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical and computer skills preferred, specifically Excel (VBA strongly preferred), Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar; other programming/coding skills welcome
  • Experience with face-to-face client interaction.
  • Competency in mathematics pertaining to portfolio and risk management.
  • Strong organization skills, work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and requests from various parties in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Team-oriented but also a self-starter willing to initiate new ideas and see the implementation through to the finish line.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex topics to various internal and external audiences.
  • Understanding of risk factors that drive investment performance.
  • Expected travel: 30% of time. Education:
