  • Supports Group AVPs in schedule planning, implementation, documentation, execution and follow-up related to laboratory initiatives
  • Interprets Laboratory regulations and recommends implementation strategies and approaches
  • Collaborates with a broad array of stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure defined requirements are compliant with Laboratory regulations
  • Communicates and collaborates with Service Line leaders, Division personnel, Facility personnel, vendors, and other HCA support groups to facilitate and ensure successful organization and implementation and completion of projects
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other operating groups within HCA such as ITG, Supply Chain, Contracting, Legal, etc. to oversee deliverables, timelines, and resources and to ensure all aspects of the program meet requirements and budget guidelines DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
    • Organizes, manages and monitors the successful development and implementation of all project controls for projects or programs assigned directly to them as well as oversight of projects/programs under teams that may cross multiple business areas.
    • Actively communicate with stakeholders to manage multiple project Business Owner(s) and team member(s) relationships to accomplish project activities across multiple business groups.
    • Prioritize, assign, and oversee multiple projects and programs
    • Author/facilitate strategic documents such as Project or Program Charters, Assessments, Education and/or Communication plans, and detailed project plans, and present project updates/presentations to Business Owners and leaders at multiple levels within the organization.
    • Serve as point of contact for all program escalations and communications between the business owners and partners. Escalate to and collaborate with appropriate leadership on program issues and risks to identify solutions.
    • Monitor work product of Division Program Managers (some of whom will be based in other locations) to assure quality of work and integration of team members' work into enterprise reporting.
    • Serves as a key change agent for enterprise-wide initiatives, analyzing organizational change implications and recommending methods for managing, communicating, and minimizing the impact to facilities and other areas impacted by change.
    • Builds strong relationships with internal (and external when necessary) customers in the business areas and for delivering products and services to meet their needs. Investigates and understands client needs and develops plans to meet those needs. Ensures plans are in place within each business area or service center supported to ensure client effectiveness and monitors their effectiveness Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (This position requires the following minimum requirements)
      • Project Management - is highly proficient at applying project controls to identify, communicate, and manage project scope, goals, project plan, roll out, and project progress/performance
      • Leadership - guides development of individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, conveying performance expectations and implications and delivering leading quality services; clarifies performance and evaluates skill gaps, providing timely feedback; models commitment
      • Adaptability - maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures across multiple business entities.
      • Managing Conflict - deals proficiently with others in antagonistic situations; uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict between two or more people to ensure desired team or project objectives are met.
      • Prioritization - demonstrates ability to "see the big picture" and adjust project priorities and staff assignments accordingly.
      • Organization - stays focused and proactively prioritizes initiatives; determines tasks and resources, and schedules with keen ability to multi-task
      • Delegating Responsibility - allocates decision-making authority and/or task responsibility to appropriate others to maximize the organization's and individuals' effectiveness
      • Building Strategic Working Relationships - knowledgeable and capable of working with key stakeholder groups to coordinate activities including other Service Line resources, Division leadership, medical director (pathology), Performance Improvement, laboratory leaders, Supply Chain, etc.
      • PC / Technical Skills
        • Microsoft Office applications (including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint)
        • Online collaboration tools, such as WebEx
        • Project Management tools, such as SmartSheet
        • Compelling Communication - Clearly and succinctly conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups; communicating in a focused and compelling way that captures and holds others' attention.
        • Up to 50% travel required EDUCATION:
          • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management/Administration, or other comparable Bachelor's Degree required
          • Master's Degree preferred
          • PMP and/or LEAN certification preferred
          • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant project support experience in managing multiple projects and programs to successful completion across multiple facilities or business units, preferably in a healthcare setting
