The Project Engineer position is to provide engineering support for the product design/development, fabrication, assembly, and testing of hardware for use in commercial, military, and space applications. The Project Engineer will assist with managing all technical activities, project design reviews, project scheduling, planning, resourcing, and execution to ensure project specifications, cost, and schedule requirements are met.
The Project Engineer shall have the technical skills required for specification and requirements development, compliance verification, parts identification and material in use, hardware development, qualification, and acceptance testing, and delivery certification. This position will require the candidate to become well versed in the quality process for the development and delivery of controlled hardware, including the writing of compliance matrices, material in use list, deviation waivers, and disposition of nonconformance /discrepancy reports. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and understanding engineering drawings as well as overseeing and participating in hands-on design development, manufacturing, and test activities.

Use project requirement documents to develop compliance matrices, materials in use list, assembly plans, manufacturing processes, assembly work instructions, test strategies, and planning to produce qualification and acceptance test plans.
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
Follow the New Product Development (NPD) Stage-Gate process.
Work with Design Engineers, Quality Engineers, Technicians & other functions to develop and/or optimize manufacturing and test processes.
Work with vendors to deliver high tolerance critical manufactured components and assemblies.
Write deviation waivers, nonconformance/discrepancy reports, and dispositioning of nonconformance reports.
Utilize good analytical and troubleshooting principles for problem-solving. Utilization of Six Sigma and DOE (Design of Experiment) tools is desired.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with 5-10 years of related experience, (MS desired).
Prior work experience with Military projects required, Space projects desired.
Experience planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
Must have technical project management and supervision skills (preferred).
