Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position is for three Special Education Teachers to provide support in an onsite school setting in Danbury, CT. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, with a schedule of 30 to 32.5 hours per week. The roles include working with elementary resource, elementary self-contained, and middle school resource caseloads. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in both resource and self-contained settings Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive educational experiences Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to meet learning goals Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education services Qualifications and Experience: Connecticut Educator Certification with a Special Education endorsement required Experience working in special education settings, particularly in resource and self-contained classrooms Strong understanding of individualized education plans and differentiated instruction methods Ability to work effectively onsite with a diverse student population and school staff Excellent communication and collaboration skills Location: Danbury, Connecticut (onsite in school environment) This opportunity offers a meaningful role supporting students with special education needs in a structured educational setting.
