Job Description Speech Pathologist Position Overview: The League Education & Treatment Center is seeking experienced Speech Pathologists (CCC or CF) to provide services to special needs children, ages 2.75 to 5 at the Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery (JFTN) . Responsibilities : Work with children presented with varied diagnoses including; ED, LD, ADD/ADHD, ASD Provide individual and group therapy sessions Keep up-to-date records Conduct assessments as needed Participate in team meetings and parent training Principal Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology NYSED certification as Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) NYS SLP License and Asha certification (CCC) or SLP Limited Permit eligible 1 or more years of experience working with young children Additional Abilities and Characteristics: Interest in working with children who exhibit a wide range of communication needs Ability to create individualized, strength-based interventions that respect and support each child’s unique communication journey Commitment to child-led approaches that promote social-emotional growth, language, and learning through attunement, connection, and play Interest in and experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is highly preferred Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team Strong written and verbal communication skills for providing guidance, counseling, and maintaining required documentation Job Perks: Own office Consistent supervision Opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration Benefits : Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Pet insurance Professional development assistance Referral program Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Wellness program Gym Membership Discount Gym Membership Reimbursement Plum Benefits Pre-employment Services Verizon Wireless Discount Vision Care Reimbursement Wellness Program Schedule: Full-time (5 days/week) Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
