Job Description Berkys Day Care is an in-home early learning childcare program located in Deer Park, NY. We are currently seeking a PART-TIME ASSISTANT TEACHER for our afternoon program. The ideal candidate for this position is a caring, patient, and responsible individual who possess an interest in working with children ages 2-8 years old. Please only apply if you are available Monday-Friday from 8am --- 12pm Responsibilities: Work closely with the classroom teacher and program Provider to balance out the responsibilities that are required for our morning program. Must be punctual, responsible, and reliable to relieve the morning teaching staff of their shift. Assist in implementing our Berkys Curriculum for our Toddler and Preschool students. Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn. Must be a team player that can work well with others in assisting with the growth and development of our students and our program. Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
