Job Description:

Rye Country Day School is seeking a Latin teacher (maternity leave replacement) beginning at the start of the 2022-23 school year and extending through the third week of November. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Specific responsibilities of the position include:
Teach four (4) sections of Upper School Latin (levels to be determined)
Grade student assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback of their work
Calculate grades and write student-specific comments at the end of the first quarter (late October), plus other periodic individual student reports as requested
Participate in faculty and departmental meetings

Desired qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Classics required; Master's degree or higher preferred
Experience teaching Latin at the Upper School level
Excitement for working with Upper School students
Excellent oral, written and organizational skills
Facility with laptop and Learning Management System technology
