Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Project Architect takes the vision of
the design team and leads the production team to create a biddable,
buildable, code-compliant set of construction documents.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Prepare detailed drawings
of architectural designs and plans for buildings and structures
according to specifications provided by architect. • Monitor and
oversee the construction documentation process including reviewing
and approving shop drawings. • Analyze building codes, space and
site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to
determine their effect on architectural designs. • Meet with
external contacts including clients, contractors, and engineers to
identify and resolve problems. • Meet with internal contacts
including designers, production staff, project managers and
architect of record to clarify design intent and streamline
documentation process. • Perform site visits at the construction
site to confirm compliance with construction documents. • Review
and comment on applications for payment and change order requests.
• Perform code analysis and develop code strategies. • Mark up and
review shop drawings. • Perform other related duties as required.
