Annually Position overview We are seeking a detailoriented
Administrative Assistant to be the primary phone and frontoffice
contact for our firm. The ideal candidate is professional on the
phone, organized, and comfortable handling multiple tasks in a busy
tax and accounting environment. Key responsibilities Answer and
direct incoming phone calls in a polite, professional manner; take
accurate messages and ensure timely followup. Greet clients and
visitors, in person and by phone, creating a welcoming first
impression for the firm. Schedule and confirm client appointments;
maintain calendars for professional staff. Monitor voicemail and
main email inbox, route inquiries to the appropriate team member,
and track open items. Perform general administrative tasks,
including scanning, copying, filing, data entry, and preparing
basic correspondence. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and
deliveries. Maintain an organized, professional reception and front
office area. Qualifications Prior experience in an administrative,
receptionist, or frontdesk role with significant phone
responsibilities preferred. Strong verbal communication and
customerservice skills, especially over the phone. Solid
organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to
manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Comfortable using basic office
software (email, calendar, Word, Excel) and office equipment
(phones, scanner, copier). Experience in a tax, accounting, or
professional services office is a plus but not required. Schedule
and compensation Onsite position in Port Jefferson, New York.
Fulltime Competitive hourly rate or salary commensurate with
experience (add your range if desired).
