Building and Land Technology BLT is seeking a Residential Property Accountant to join our -team in Stamford, CT. The primary function of this role is to provide day to day accounting functions for BLTs portfolio of apartment communities. -The Residential Property Accountant would report to the Residential Controller.Responsibilities -of the Residential Property Accountant - - -Prepare financial reporting and analysis for multiple BLT residential properties. - - -Maintain monthly work papers. - - -Prepare work papers and analyses required for annual audit process. - - -Prepare work papers and analyses required for income tax and sales tax filings. - - -Assist in preparation of annual budgets. - - -Interact with the operations, accounts receivable and accounts payable groups as required. - - -Record monthly journal entries. - - -Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.Qualifications of the Residential Property Accountant - - -Bachelors Degree in Accounting. - - 3-5 years of accounting experience required, 1+ years' experience - in real estate accounting preferred. - - -Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines is a must. - - -Strong communication skills. - - -Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. - - -Experience with real estate accounting softwareBenefits Provided to the position of -Residential Property Accountant:
