Job Description:

Building and Land Technology "BLT" is seeking a Residential Property Accountant to join our -team in Stamford, CT. The primary function of this role is to provide day to day accounting functions for BLT's portfolio of apartment communities. -The Residential Property Accountant would report to the Residential Controller.Responsibilities -of the Residential Property Accountant
--- - - -Prepare financial reporting and analysis for multiple BLT residential properties.
--- - - -Maintain monthly work papers.
--- - - -Prepare work papers and analyses required for annual audit process.
--- - - -Prepare work papers and analyses required for income tax and sales tax filings.
--- - - -Assist in preparation of annual budgets.
--- - - -Interact with the operations, accounts receivable and accounts payable groups as required.
--- - - -Record monthly journal entries.
--- - - -Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.Qualifications of the Residential Property Accountant
--- - - -Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
--- - - 3-5 years of accounting experience required, 1+ years' experience - in real estate accounting preferred.
--- - - -Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines is a must.
--- - - -Strong communication skills.
--- - - -Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
