follows a Product-based methodology to guide application
development and process transformation. The Finance & Corporate
System Product Channel consists of the SAP platform, tax systems,
and other applications. In 2022 CCI delivered the Finance
Transformation project, a cornerstone of which was the
implementation of S/4 HANA and related applications.
The position will act as the key liaison between Finance/Corporate
teams and technology teams (IT and 3rd party vendors) for purposes
of maintaining and developing enhancements to applications within
the Finance & Corporate Systems Product Channel, with a specific
focus on the SAP platform (S/4 HANA, SAC, Group Reporting, PaPM).
The candidate will be tasked with leveraging technology and
application capabilities, combined with good stakeholder
communication, to drive process improvements and translate
requirements for development. The candidate must have a Finance
background. The position will play an integral role in delivering
improvements across Finance and Corporate teams and will have broad
exposure across functions and to senior
leadership.Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the SAP platform strategy and support model
which includes the analysis, design, and delivery phases of
future-state SAP-related deliverables as well as day-to-day
configuration maintenance, testing, and change management
processes.
- Understand key Finance/Accounting and Reporting processes
across CCI's commercial businesses (Merchant and Assets) and
demonstrate an ability to leverage this knowledge by developing and
supporting impactful business solutions across a broad range of
requirements.
- Lead the gathering and documentation of enhancement
requirements in JIRA and run regular meetings/scrums with business
and technical teams to prioritize work. Lead the development of
planning, including resourcing, communications, risk mitigation,
and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with business teams to design and implement more
streamlined technology and reporting solutions, as well as improve
existing procedures/processes.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members
and stakeholders, including business representatives, technology
partners, and consultants.
- Liaise with, and oversee the performance of, CCI's external SAP
managed support team, SAP (vendor), and other vendor/consulting
teams with respect to ongoing support, incident resolution,
application monitoring, and relationship management.
- Provide support, training, and guidance to SAP users when
creating reports, running upload templates, making software
configuration updates, and assessing the downstream impact of
changes.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Prior experience within financial services and with software
implementations
- Minimum of 5-10 years working directly within the SAP suite of
applications/modules, with preference for experience with FICO,
Group Reporting, and SAC
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business users and
subject matter experts to capture requirements in the form of user
stories and collaborate with technical resources to complete and
test the work required to satisfy requirements
- Functional experience integrating trading and other finance
applications with the SAP platform
- Experience with project management software is required (JIRA
experience preferred)
- Certified ScrumMaster or equivalent certification is
preferred
- Extensive knowledge of design and configuration concepts
including varying uses of SAP's referential data model, accounting
model (GL accounts, transaction types, reporting hierarchies) and
allocation rules
- Functional knowledge of other applications, including but not
limited to PowerBI, Tableau, Excel VBA, Excel Add-ins, SSRS,
etc.
- Knowledge of the energy/commodity transaction lifecycle,
processes, and data concepts is preferred
- Leadership skills and track record in working with diverse
constituency, building consensus, identifying risks, and developing
risk mitigation strategies
- Critical thinker who is collaborative and able to communicate
with precision and clarity
